About BEK

Hi, I'm Rebekah (but you can call me Bek) - a nutritionist who's navigated the wild world of chronic health from both sides of the clipboard, and a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I'm happily food obsessed, with roots as a pastry chef before diving into nutritional science.

Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine (2016)

  • Professional qualifications backed by lived experience

  • Former pastry chef with a deep love for culinary arts

  • Previous care coordinator in aged community health care

My Journey

I didn't choose the chronic health life - the chronic health life chose me. After years of medical gaslighting, dismissive "it's just stress" comments, and generic advice that didn't work, I got stubborn. I decided to transform my personal challenges into a mission: creating a nutrition practice that actually listens and believes you.

What Makes Me Different
  • I bring both professional expertise and personal chronic health survival skills

  • My approach is compassionate, science-backed, and zero-bullshit

  • I specialise in supporting women (35-60) with complex health conditions

  • As an LGBTQIA+ practitioner, I offer a safe, affirming space for all gender identities and sexual orientations

  • Lived experience with:

    • POTS

    • Endometriosis

    • Fibromyalgia

    • ADHD

    • Chronic pain

    • Navigating medical menopause

My Philosophy

This isn't about "fixing" you. It's about understanding your unique body, believing your experiences, and creating strategies that actually work for your gloriously complicated system.

Advocacy is My Superpower! I don't just provide nutrition advice - I'll communicate with your care team, document your journey, and ensure your voice gets heard. This includes providing culturally sensitive, gender-affirming nutrition support.
